bohol 9th year getaway! (island hopping)

The last day of our trip is island hopping im very excited for this day! we got up around 5 in the morning to have a walk along the shoreline, because our accommodation is a block away from the beach, our tour guide met us on a place by the beach where the bangkas( boats ) dock, the tour hired a bangka ( boat ) for island hopping trip to BALICASAG ISLAND and VIRGIN island and to look for dolphins and whale sharks. the sand in PANGLAO beach is very beautiful and white at par with the sand of boracay.sadly we didn't enjoy panglao beach because we need to take our boat very early to look for dolphins early in the morning.
the sunrise of PANGLAO island

off to go look for dolphins.taking some picture!

our bangkero's
sadly i dont have picture of dolphins because the dolphins was so shy that day but we saw a couple a far about a minute or so.

BALICASAG ISLAND

as we come closer and closer to balicasag island our excitement  to go snorkeling goes bigger and bigger! our bangkero said that we need to rent shoes (price of shoe 80 pesos only) for us not to be cut and injured by the sharp corals and we need to rent a lifeguard to look after us (this is free if you have a package from agency). you have to buy biscuits to feed the fish so they can go near you, the underwater world of balicasag island is very outstanding, amazing, awesome worth the 2nd 3rd nth time to go snorkeling or diving, the island is very i mean VERY abundant of different types of fish we saw big tunas yellow fin blue fins we even saw a huge sea turle. the reef of the island is like a very deep cliff underwater and you can see different types of corals anf fishes in their natural habitat and the size of them are extra ordinary you can see how the island is well maintained and preserved strictly for touring and viewing only.

this is our underwater pic with some fishes

me and my partner ^_^

After snorkeling its almost  lunch so you better take a lunch before you go to VIRGIN ISLAND.  some of the people in that island will offer you to eat at their "carenderia" (food stall). the menu ofcourse seafood yummy!.after you take the lunch you can tell your bangkero to go to virgin island.

going to VIRGIN ISLAND

taking some picture of our bangkero he holds a kawayan to move our boat because it is low tide that time.

center of the bay of virgin island

the women in picture was the sample of low tide and you see how far the island right? yah! hanggang jan ang low tide that time.

the Virgin island

me and my partner strike a pose!

the island have no rest house , kubo or anything that can protect you from the heat of the sun only the shades of the trees but anyhow who needs shade if you have a very beautiful view in front of you. we tried to walk around at island as you can see in the picture their so many seagrass near the pure white sand because its super low tide. we dont have a picture of a high tide?(confused) if what is the view?well some people say the island vanishes.hehehe! scary! though technically it doesnt but at high tide the the whole part of the island with sand is covered by sea water just up until your ankles and still you can walk along the beach except at night ofcourse you might end up not seeing your way and walk straight to the deep part of the sea.

im in the center of virgin island

The virgin island is curved. while we are walking along the beach of the island there are a lot of star fish, sea shell, sea urchins, sea grass and many more!

Hope you can visit BOHOL for your vacation! enjoy!

bohol anniversary getaway! (Country Side)

This is the first time i blogged so technically im a rookie in blogging, for my debut what else can i possibly think of for a subject, of course the most special time, me and my partners very first getaway tour!  We planned traveling to BOHOL for the celebration of our 9th year anniversary, this is the very first time we went out of luzon, the first time in Bohol, "our" first ride on an airplane together, though technically speaking
we already rode the plane lots of times separately, and of course our very first and only 9th year anniversary!
This is our plane ticket
price depending on their promo.
terminal fee going to bohol was 200pesos

This is the first thing to do if you want to go somewhere you wanna go.book your plane ticket in advance. Be sure you choose the promo fare for persons on a tight budget, these are the well known airlines that give out promos to anywhere in the philippines and asia Cebu pacific, Air Philippines, Philippine Airline, Zest Air. then if you are not familiar to the place you want to go. i suggest you better look for tour packages online but pick agencies that has good comments from clients or if you know someone from that place you can ask them for some assistance. but if you want a cheap adventure be a backpacker, some places have ready to hire tour guides that will accommodate you from the airport until the last day of your vacation they will even see you till you go in the airport very friendly and accommodating people and the price is very low perfect for tourist on a tight budget.
This is our hotel room accomodation in Tagbilaran City, Bohol
price 1,500 night
The Boholenos (people of bohol) was very accomodating. from airport to driver to the receptionist, service crew. since we got an afternoon flight, we have nothing to do because our itinerary starts the following day, we rest for a while then we realized that its boring just staying in the hotel room so we went out and ask the receptionist if there is a mall near the hotel, good thing there is just 2 blocks away from the hotel. after we window shopped we felt our stomach rumbling so we ate on a near pizza parlor the one with a roof on the logo, we ordered the usual dish that we always order on the same pizza parlor here in manila, but when the food was served we got shocked because the serving is super extra generous, wesaid to ourselves that if we ordered this back in manila the serving will be half of the serving the tagbilaran pizza parlor gave us. maybe because thats how accommodating the Boholanos are specially to tourist.

church in Tagbilaran Bohol (dont know the name though)

The sun is rising so our 2nd day in Bohol is going to start.Since the hotel we stayed in gives free breakfast we ate it ofcourse. The call time for our tour adventure is  9am. We are ready to go to our first stop.
Baclayon Church

Baclayon Church is a very old church in Bohol.

The Second stop ( Loboc River)

Our Ticket to ride a boat with lunch buffet for only 150pesos.

This ride is almost an hour ride. you will travel along the river till you reach a very typical small water fall on the way back you will see the tribes living along the river and they will entertain you with their tribal dance after the presentation you can give them a small token of your appreciation.

Our 3rd Stop

Tarsier Conservation Area
The smallest primate, fit in the palm of your hand.

Side trip
Butterfly Heaven Farm
Entrance 20pesos
 4th stop
Chocolate Hills

These hills looks like a chocolate bar when it rains. These is the main attraction of Bohol.

Enjoy your visiting in Bohol ^_^
